Lime Interactive, Atelier’s new “nonline” advertising and marketing agency is celebrating its appointment to launch and market two new renewable energy brands. These new brands are aimed at consumers who, concerned with rocketing energy prices, want to take advantage of the savings on heating and hot water that are offered by “free” renewable energy sources.

Lime Interactive is situated inside Atelier Studios. Together the two sister agencies will provide branding planning, on and offline direct response advertising and marketing services - including specialist website design and search marketing.

The two new energy brands are expected to launch in the autumn. Renaud Clarke, Atelier’s Director commented “We are really excited by this appointment. It provides two perfect opportunities for us to demonstrate how Lime’s “nonline” approach to marketing and our specialist digital services, can together achieve an integrated, creative and economical approach to marketing our clients brands and products - on, off and through the line.

Blog search engine Technorati has just released its annual State of the Blogosphere report that shows that the number of blogs continues to grow - almost doubling in a year.

The report indicates that Technorati indexed 133 million blogs since 2002 when the company began. This figure in 2007?s report was just 70 million, which suggests impressive growth.

But is this accurate? How big is the blogosphere?

Between 2006 and 2007, the number of blogs indexed grew from 57 million to 70 million, so where have the extra 63 million blogs come from?

Technorati does not make this clear in its report but the company says that only 1.5 million of these blogs were updated in the last seven days, which suggests that the vast majority of the 133 million blogs are not active (by that metric). But Technorati reports only 5 million of these blogs as ‘active’, defined as having been posted in the space of a month. So on that basis it seems that there are tens of millions of discarded blogs out there in cyber space.

Unfortunately there are no vacancies at present.

Google launched Google Chrome, an open source-based web browser which attempts to compete with Microsoft?s Internet Explorer and Mozilla?s Firefox.

So why have Google decided to throw the hand into the browser ring? “Because we believe we can add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web.”

Atelier FC showed another dazzling display of ball skills and carried on their unbeaten run with another couple of victories in Thursdays mini tournament. The stage was set, four of the greatest 5 a side teams that ever played were involved in two half hour head to head games. Atelier FC were definitely given a run for their money by
The Super Recruiters and Five by Five but in the end managed to keep it respectable.

Atelier Utd recorded another hard fought victory last night in what was only their second game and the first with the new allstar Atelier lineup. It was a hard fought game of two halves against Addict FC who were worthy opponents. The final score 12 ? 8 was probably slightly flattering to the boys in green socks but deserved considering the wave of injurys that beset them from the first kick of the ball.

Not unlike the Italian national team Atelier Utd were rolling around on the floor like babys after nearly ever challenge but unlike the Italians we were really injured! Fitness, 1 burst football and a lack of pre match warm ups weren’t going to stop us though, a quick rub of the magic sponge and we were back playing the beautiful game how it was meant to be played. Passers by could have been mistaken for thinking they were watching Brazil with the silky smooth passing on display and off the ball movement which was sublime. The game finally came to end as it started with another injury, this time to Mischa (the cat) in goal… lets all hope he’s recovered for next weeks fixture!
